Role Summary

This position is responsible for prospecting, offering solutions, and servicing clients. In addition to your natural market, a steady stream of warm leads will be provided. Requirements

Job Objectives

  • Conduct needs-based policy reviews as the client's trusted advisor

  • Once client needs are determined, match those needs with the appropriate coverage

  • Efficiently run and analyze comparative insurance quotes, leveraging EZ Lynx and other tools

  • Effectively present options to clients with recommendations on how best to meet their needs

  • Build strong relationships with clients to maintain a high level of client service and retention

  • Calling leads and engaging in lead generating activities (e.g. networking groups, social media, etc.)

  • Develop effective working relationships with Financial Advisors (FA), proactively updating the FA on changes in coverage and opportunities or gaps in the client’s P&C coverage

  • Collaboratively work with other P&C insurance agents on the team as well as operations & service leaders to continue improving the products and services that Barnum P&C offers


Requirements

  • Property & Casualty License (LA&H license would be added advantage)

  • Confident, organized, and motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

  • Analytical skills to understand complex coverage details and underwriting guidelines

  • Technical ability to navigate online tools and efficiently manage client data & lead opportunities

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, advisors, carriers, and leaders

  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills

  • Professional and service-oriented phone etiquette

  • Comfortable with and proactively contributing to a collaborative team environment

  • Prior sales experience is a plus, and a growth mindset is a must
